For many, buying a home is the largest purchase you will ever make. Yet many homeowners will make that purchase knowing they will eventually add on to their home. This is fairly common for Cape Cod homeowners. You know how that goes. Once word gets out you own a house on the Cape, suddenly you have a lot more friends and relatives looking to drop by. And then you need more space.
Moniz Home Improvement has worked on additions from Day One. Those additions come in many different forms. Some Cape Cod additions are family-oriented. For example, you may want to create an in-law apartment for an older parent or parents. Or perhaps the in-law could be for a post-college age child living at home to save money and pay off student loans.
Most of the additions we see are for people who want to enhance the enjoyment of their home. That could mean the creation of a family room or a master suite with full bath and walk-in closet space. Or maybe a sun room off to the side where you can enjoy your morning coffee and have enough room and natural daylight to grow plants—it could even double as an exercise room.

This brainstorming session will provide a starting point for our designs. Once we tighten up the list of the things you want in your addition, we can then develop a design so you can see what it will look like. This includes a free estimate on the cost of your addition.
With your blessing, Moniz Home Improvement will schedule your home addition. We will provide you an outline of the work to be done, supplies to be purchased and permits to be attained. We will create a schedule and stick to it. If there’s a change in schedule, we will let you know ASAP.
Building is an addition to your home is exciting but it’s also a major intrusion to your daily routine and, let’s face it, your life and that of family members. Moniz Home Improvement does not take that lightly. Our team is properly licensed and insured and will work in your home like it’s ours. At the end of the day, we will leave the work site clean and safe. If you are there while work is going on and have a question, ask away.
