When Ken Moniz was growing up on Cape Cod he had a vision for his future: to build quality homes that not only reflect the creative concepts of those who live in them, but which also embody the feel of this beloved locale. Now that vision has become Ken’s passion, a passion that is at the heart of Moniz Home Improvement, Inc.

Through Moniz Home Improvement, Inc., clients are able to work with Ken in creating the home of their dreams or enhancing their existing homes with beautiful decks, additions, kitchen renovations, and more.

Ken began his training through the excellent programs at Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical High School in Bourne and has since worked as a general contractor, as well as with Emergency Contractors, Inc., in Sandwich as the General Restoration Crew Chief, Maintenance Supervisor for MB Management in Eastham. He then served as the Property Maintenance Supervisor and Housing Rehabilitation Specialist for the Harwich Ecumenical Council for the Homeless, Inc. (HECH), for which he remains the Rehab Specialist and job contractor.

Through these positions Ken has embraced an attitude of professionalism and dedication while ensuring a positive experience for his clients and a finished product that will bring years of happiness and comfort.

Ken continues to ensure all of his critical licenses are up-to-date, including his CSL and HIC licenses, and is awaiting his state license as a Lead Safe Renovator Supervisor. He is skilled in understanding and navigating local building, zoning, energy, lead safety and rehabilitation codes and regulations, as well as possessing a keen understanding of important safety methods and techniques while on the job.

When not working, Ken resides in Harwich with his family, and enjoys boating, cheering on his favorite New England teams, and is a longtime community volunteer that has donated his time and talents to various projects, including helping with the build of the concession facility at Monomoy Regional High School and making sure HECH clients have enjoyable holidays through donation programs there.
